Beginners salsa festival
Tampere International Salsa Festivals workshops, specially
couple classes, are mainly meant for intermediate-advanced level dancers. The
eighth Tampere International Salsa Festival offers an opportunity also for
beginners to participate to workshops during the intensive festival week. From Monday to Wednesday 18.-20.7.2011 there
will be a beginners festival which consist of 12 workshops.
The course includes salsa step technique, rhythm and solo classes, basics
of Cuban couple salsa and a little taste of merengue and bachata - popular dances
from Dominica Republic that are often played in salsa nights. All lessons are
meant for beginners and they advance during the course (lessons 1-3). Teachers
will be Salsa Pasión's own popular and experinced teachers: Oliver Paredes
(Venezuela), Mauricio Alvarez (Columbia), Julio Oviedo (Venezuela), Aino
Hujanen and Francisco Guerrero (Columbia).
