Welcoming party at Restaurant Tempo, Hämeenkatu 15, from 10 pm: instructors' presentation. Entrance: 10 euro.
Friday 23 July
Restaurant Klubi, Tullikamarin aukio 2, 10pm-4am: Opening salsa concert, Manolito y su Trabuco. Entrance: 35 euro.
Saturday 24 July
Restaurant Klubi, Tullikamarin aukio 2, 10pm-4am: Salsa festival gala night, dance shows, salsa dj. Entrance: 20 euro.
Sunday 25 July
Mustalahti Harbour, Paasikiventie 2, 8pm-2am: Festival's ending party. Entrance: 10 euro.
All
entrances to salsa parties are included in the price of the Festival

Manolito y su Trabuco / CUBA In the main event of the Tampere salsa festival on Friday 23 July
performs one of the best Cuban salsa orchestras: Manolito y su Trabuco!
The seventh international Salsa Festival in Tampere will again enjoy
the pleasure of offering the concert of another fantastic Cuban
orchestra, Manolito y su trabuco. Founded in 1993 by Manolito Simonet
the group has had great success in Cuba and around the world. After
their first album in 1995 they have produced many unique albums which
have become favourites of salseros and Cuban music aficionados.
The
orchestra has a special skill of satisfying a large public including
the fans of traditional Cuban rythms as well as the modern timba
lovers. They combine the sounds of authentic son and afrocuban rythms
with irresistible modern timba wich creates a very danceable flavour to
their music. Manolito y su trabuco is deffeneatly at its best in live
concerts where the amazing musicians with the lead singers Sixto "El
Indio" Llorente and Ricardo Amaray get to display their greatness and
shine. Manolito Simonet had created fame for himself as a pianist in a
group called Maravilla de Florida allready before forming his own group
and his pianist skills make an important part in the Trabuco as well.
